There was a point
where I convinced myself
they made me faster.
Then another
when I decided they made me
cooler.
Another still,
younger and together.
It got so bad
I considered collecting them
and never wearing them at all.
Then I remembered
there are towns, whole towns,
where people have none.
None?
And here we are
with so many
that they hang from the sky.
